Sassy and I are sharing an outfit today created using Protea flowers, succulents, eucalyptus and hydrangea petals. We were inspired by a lovely wedding invitation commission I’m working on at the moment.
The invite is a project I’m massively proud of and can’t wait to share (once the beautiful bride has sent out to her guests!). Wedding logo and stationary design is a service I’m branching out into. More info to follow on that.
Due to lots of lovely feedback, I’m now also offering custom Sassy Du Fleur floral fashion illustrations. This includes fashion illustrations made for brides, inspired by their wedding flowers. In fact it’s generally been a really fabulous few weeks as freelance work has really picked up. Managing it alongside a part-time digital marketing consulting position and three children is of course, quite a challenge. Throw into the mix, commissions, film crews visiting the house to film me creating a Sassy outfit (more about that one another time), late nights, early mornings….etc etc ….Phew! By the time the weekend arrives I’m pretty shattered!
Things aren’t about to slow down anytime soon either. A forthcoming exhibition in Brighton as well as the Brighton Etsy Made Local Christmas Market on 3rd December, the run up to Christmas is already looking like another busy month. And I love it. The gamble to quit a permanent position and go back to freelance life is paying off (fingers are very firmly crossed, the opportunities will continue and grow). I am hugely grateful for every opportunity that comes my way.
