Nothing says spring is on its way more than Hyacinth flowers. After the grey skies of winter they are a welcome burst of colour. Oh their aroma is enough to inspire the senses alone!
I love to craft art from florals and share these creations on Instagram. The hyacinth is one of my favourite flowers and is so wonderful to work with.

Now to the flowers…
The Meaning Of Hyacinths
- It’s said their name comes from Hyacinthus, a beautiful boy with whom Apollo was besotted by. It’s a tale of sorrow though I’m afraid. During a game of discus-throwing, Apollo accidentally struck Hyacinthus on the forehead and he was fatally wounded. His drops of blood, turned into the hyacinth flowers.
- In the language of flowers, the hyacinth flower represent, sport, game and play
- Individually, purple hyacinths signify sorrow; blue – constancy; white – unobtrusiveness; pink – play
And Finally…

Have an inspired day
